The agency report builder
The report is your client deliverable, and it's aggregate-first: it communicates backlog-level findings — quality posture, dimension diagnosis, distributions, and improvement over rounds — illustrated by small, capped story lists. The complete per-story dataset always accompanies it as a spreadsheet.
Sections
Toggle any of these on or off per report, or save a combination as a template:
- Cover — your logo and brand, prepared-by / prepared-for.
- Executive summary — auto-drafted from the aggregates; fully editable.
- Methodology — explains INVEST and the scale to your client, including the de-identification placeholders that may appear in story excerpts.
- Score summary, dimension breakdown, distribution — the analytical core.
- Lowest-scoring stories / what good looks like — capped exemplar lists (max 50 each).
- Quality by epic / by author — appear when those columns were mapped. Authors are anonymized by default (“Author A”).
- Exemplar appendix — up to 100 illustrative stories; the full dataset ships in the attached spreadsheet, never in the rendered report.
- Round-over-round improvement — appears automatically when the project has two or more scoring rounds. This is how you prove the engagement worked.
- Next steps — your closing pitch for the follow-on engagement.
White-labeling
Reports are fully white-label: your agency name and branding front and center, and the “Scored by Vindex” attribution is removable by any agency. You can also hide ticket keys for sensitive backlogs and switch the score display between percentages and the 0–10 engine scale.
Versions and formats
Every generation is an immutable version producing three artifacts: a print-ready PDF, a self-contained HTML file you can restyle or re-house in your own tooling, and the full data export (.xlsx). Regenerating after changes creates a new version — a delivered report can always be reproduced exactly.
Templates
Save any configuration as an agency template, set a default template per client workspace, and mark templates as locked so only agency admins can change the house style. Three built-ins ship out of the box: Full Review, Executive Brief, and Improvement Report.
