Vindex for Agencies
Vindex for Agencies turns a backlog review engagement into a product: upload your client's backlog export, score every story against INVEST, curate the findings, and deliver a report that carries your brand. Your clients never need a Vindex account.
Getting access
Agency workspaces are enabled by the Vindex team. Contact usand we'll switch on agency features for your company, invite your first admin, and add starter credits so you can score a real project before any payment conversation.
Concepts
- Client workspace— one per end-client; keeps that client's projects, uploads, and reports separated.
- Project — one review engagement with one deliverable report. A project moves through draft → scoring → review → reporting → delivered.
- Round — one scoring pass. Re-score after your client revises their stories and the report shows the improvement round-over-round.
- Credits — 1 credit = 1 story successfully scored. Failed scores are refunded automatically. Credits are prepaid and never expire; a run can only start when your balance covers it, and the exact cost is shown before you confirm.
Uploading a backlog
Export the backlog from your client's tool and upload the file to the project — .csv and .xlsx are supported, with no file-size or row limits. Backlogs of 100,000+ stories are in scope. Vindex detects the delimiter and sheet, then suggests a column mapping (Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, and monday exports are recognized automatically). Only the Summary column is required; mapping Description and Acceptance Criteria improves scoring quality, and mapping Epic, Author, or Status unlocks extra report sections.
Scoring
Scoring runs as a background job on the same pipeline that powers Vindex's real-time integrations. Before every run you see the exact cost — “Score 1,240 stories · 1,240 credits · balance 5,000” — and the job then runs unattended: close your laptop and check the progress page later. Every story's text passes automatic de-identification before any AI model sees it, so personal identifiers in stories are replaced with placeholders like [NAME].
Review and deliver
The review workspace shows every scored story worst-first with the six INVEST dimension scores, the engine's reasoning, and its recommendations. Exclude junk rows, add analyst notes, and curate the recommendations — then build the report. See the report builder reference for sections, branding, and white-labeling.

- Do my clients need Vindex accounts?
- No. You deliver the report file; clients never touch Vindex.
- Do credits expire?
- No — credits never expire.
- Is there an upload limit?
- No file-size or row limits. Cost is bounded only by your credit balance.
- What happens to failed scores?
- They're never charged — the reservation is refunded at settlement.
