Vindex for Asana · How it works

Authorize once. Every task scored automatically after that.

Vindex runs as an Asana app connected through OAuth. It reads each task the moment it’s created or updated and puts the score in custom fields on the task — before planning, before the sprint pays for the gap.

  1. Step 1

    Authorize Vindex from the Asana marketplace

    Find Vindex in the Asana app marketplace, click Install, pick your workspace, and approve the OAuth scopes. A workspace admin completes this once — about two minutes — and the app works for every member.

  2. Step 2

    Vindex watches for changes

    Asana's task-update webhook tells Vindex the moment a task is created or edited. Nobody has to remember to run a check, and there's no CSV to maintain.

  3. Step 3

    Every task gets scored

    Scoring runs asynchronously and lands within seconds. The engine reads the task the way a senior reviewer would: clear scope, real acceptance criteria, sized for a sprint, free of hidden dependencies, testable, and clearly valuable.

  4. Step 4

    Scores land on the task itself

    Two custom fields at the top of the task carry the score. The Vindex widget tab holds the per-dimension breakdown and plain-language findings — plus a Re-score button when you want a fresh evaluation on demand.

From Asana to Vindex, in one pass.

A requirement is written in Asana, Vindex reads it, and a quality score comes back — overall health, six dimensions, and the specific reasons the task isn’t ready yet.
