Connect your agent, then run your first critique.
It takes a few minutes. A new account includes 100 free critique credits, so you can try it before you spend anything.

Connect your AI client
Pick your client below. Each page walks the same steps in that client's own words: add the Vindex MCP server, then sign in with your Vindex account.
- 02
Ask it to read your rules
Say what you want in plain words. Your agent calls list_rules and shows the rules it can use. Reading rules is free.
say thisList my Vindex rules. - 03
Check an output
Give your agent a draft and a rule or a rule set. It calls validate, and you get a pass or fail for each rule, with the failing passage quoted. This uses one critique credit.
say thisCheck this draft with Vindex against the "Email tone" rule: <paste the draft> - 04
Let it loop on its own
Put the standing instruction below in the file your client reads, so the agent knows to check, fix, and check again.

About 3 minutesAn MCP server in VS Code for Copilot Chat, and in repository settings for the coding agent.
About 4 minutesAny other client that speaks MCP over HTTP works the same way. The generic steps below cover it.
Any other MCP client
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth can connect. Add a server with this URL. The client discovers the sign-in from the server itself, so there is nothing else to configure, no admin, no install, and no API key.
https://mcp.vindexgateway.com/mcpWhen the client asks you to authorize, your browser opens on the Vindex sign-in. After that, ask your agent to list your rules and check an output. The connection reference has the discovery documents and scopes for client authors.
The standing instruction
Add this to the file your client reads for standing instructions, such as CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, or .cursor/rules. Replace the rule set with the one your agent should use. An agent that follows it runs the loop on its own, and the server refuses a call over the attempt limit.
Before you send or save any customer-facing text, check it with the
Vindex validate tool against the rule set named below.
Rule set: <your rule set or rule name>
If a rule fails, rewrite only the passage the result quotes, then run
validate again. Stop when every rule passes, when the attempt limit is
reached, or when credits run out. Then tell the user which rule, if any,
is still failing. Never describe an output as checked unless validate
returned a result for it.
